Things to Keep in Mind About Receiving an Internship

bullet

Do not be alarmed about a late confirmation.  Many internship locations will not confirm until shortly before or shortly after your arrival in Washington, DC.

bullet

Many internship employers require their own application procedures and have their own deadline dates.  Students are urged to apply early to avoid missing these deadline dates.

bullet

Positions requiring security clearances and high profile positions may require applications to be sent as early as a year in advance.
