Explore the Nation's Capital
Be both a local, and a tourist, with LCWS.
Millions of people travel to the nation’s capital every year. With over 160 monuments and memorials, and over 40 museums and galleries, Washington, D.C., provides visitors and locals, alike, with an abundance of recreational, educational, and cultural destinations. To ensure that students are taking advantage of all that D.C. has to offer, LCWS organizes field trips, lectures, and seminars at various sites throughout the D.C. area every Friday of the semester. These events are designed to expose students to the many aspects of life that together make Washington, D.C., one of the most vibrant cities in the world. As such, field trips engage students in D.C. culture, arts, politics, social justice, science and technology, communication, leadership, history, and community engagement. Each Friday event is exclusive to LCWS, providing students with access to unique, value-added programs throughout the D.C. area.
